Dhātu Sutta
In Sāvatthi.
“Monks,
(1) The earth element is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(2) The water element is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(3) The fire element is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(4) The air element is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(5) The space element is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(6) The consciousness element is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different. [1]
