Taṇhā Sutta

In Sāvatthi.

“Monks,

(1) Desire for shapes is continually changing,

gone, the moment it arises,

and bound to become different.

(2) Desire for sounds is continually changing,

gone, the moment it arises,

and bound to become different.

(3) Desire for odors is continually changing,

gone, the moment it arises,

and bound to become different.

(4) Desire for tastes is continually changing,

gone, the moment it arises,

and bound to become different.

(5) Desire for tangible objects is continually changing,

gone, the moment it arises,

and bound to become different.

(6) Desire for thoughts is continually changing,

gone, the moment it arises,

and bound to become different. [1]
