Homage to Him, the Blessed One, the Arahant, the Perfectly All-Awakened One.

I go to the Buddha as a refuge,

I go to the Dhamma as a refuge,

I go to the Saṅgha as a refuge.

For a second time, I go to the Buddha as a refuge,

For a second time, I go to the Dhamma as a refuge,

For a second time, I go to the Saṅgha as a refuge.

For a third time, I go to the Buddha as a refuge,

For a third time, I go to the Dhamma as a refuge,

For a third time, I go to the Saṅgha as a refuge.
