Synopsis
After an international teaching tour counting more than 8 meditation retreats in 2023, we have gathered the best footage of the year and combined it to the meditator’s experience which were taken at the end of the Buddha Pāda retreat in Kalimpong (India). On this 40 min journey, listeners will be transported to the foothills of the Himalayas in Kalimpong, where meditators share their retreat experience, highlights, and the things which they are taking home to their day-to-day lives.
The whole film is sprinkled with footage from Bhante Ānanda and Ven. Mettānanda’s tour of the holy Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka, the Bhimashanker mountain range of the Karjat retreat in Mumbai, the redwoods of north California and the easter retreat, the landscape of the Dhikshabhumi Express Train, en route to Nagpur to teach the Jetvan Retreat, the surrounding beauty of the Knuckles mountains, at our retreat in Sandun Arana, in Sri Lanka and many more breath-taking and soothing landscapes encountered along the way.
We hope that this video will help gain more clarity around our meditation retreats, for those who have never tried, and inspire those who are still taking their first steps in this world, to alleviate misconceptions and gain assurance to dive deeper into this truly wonderful teaching which is about growing in Love, kindness and happiness. For the benefit of all!
