Khandha Sutta
In Sāvatthi.
“Monks,
(1) Shapes are continually changing,
gone, the moment they arise,
and bound to become different.
(2) Experiences are continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(3) Perception is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(4) Mental activity is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.
(5) Consciousness is continually changing,
gone, the moment it arises,
and bound to become different.[1]

Monks,
those who become intent
and places faith in this truth, [2]
these are known as
faith-followers, [3]
Who have entered the righteous way,
the country of the people of truth,
having left behind the country of the mundane. [4]
They are unable to perform any action
which could lead them to
the Niraya planes of the fallen,
the Tiracchānayoni planes of the cheats and animals,
and the pettivisaya abode of spirits and ancestors. [5]
And when their time comes to an end,
They are incapable of passing away
without realizing
the fruit of stream-entry.[6]

Monks,
those who persistently reflect upon this truth
with enough discernment, [7]
These are known as
Truth-followers, [8]
Having entered the righteous way,
the country of the people of truth,
having left behind the country of the mundane,
They are unable to perform any action
which could lead them to
the Niraya planes of the fallen,
the Tiracchānayoni planes of the cheats and animals,
and the pettivisaya abode of spirits and ancestors.
And when their time comes to an end,
They are incapable of passing away
without realizing
the fruit of stream-entry.

Monks, those who see and understand this truth, [9]
These are called
Stream-enterer.
They cannot fall away from the Dhamma,
Assuredly headed for full awakening,
Sambodhi. [10]
[1] Rūpaṃ … vedanā … saññā … saṅkhārā … viññaṇāṃ
[2] Yo, bhikkhave, ime dhamme evaṃ saddahati adhimuccati—
[3] ayaṃ vuccati saddhānusārī,
[4] okkanto sammattaniyāmaṃ, sappurisabhūmiṃ okkanto, vītivatto puthujjanabhūmiṃ;
[5] abhabbo taṃ kammaṃ kātuṃ, yaṃ kammaṃ katvā nirayaṃ vā tiracchānayoniṃ vā pettivisayaṃ vā upapajjeyya;
[6] abhabbo ca tāva kālaṃ kātuṃ yāva na sotāpattiphalaṃ sacchikaroti.
[7] Yassa kho, bhikkhave, ime dhammā evaṃ paññāya mattaso nijjhānaṃ khamanti, ayaṃ vuccati:
[8] ‘dhammānusārī,
[9] Yo, bhikkhave, ime dhamme evaṃ pajānāti evaṃ passati,
[10] ‘sotāpanno avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyano’”ti.
